Activity Centre Donor Event
Georgians who generously donated to the Activity Centre attended an exclusive Preview Evening on the 26 September in advance of the first lessons which took place on Monday 30 September.
Nearly 400 donors were the first to tour the building and see areas such as the Trailfinders Hall and Appleby Dance Studio made possible by very generous Georgian support.
Following a drinks reception and tour of the building, donors were seated in the main Trailfinders Hall and were enthralled by a demonstration of the glass sports floor and its LED court lines. Captains of School, Mattie Parkinson and Stephanie Beaumont addressed the audience and thanked them for their generosity on behalf of the students. Andy Cornick, Director of Sport, discussed some of the key features found in the hall including the large climbing wall. The climbing wall was funded by the many parents who have supported Parents’ Association events such as the Summer Ball.
Since the Activity Centre Appeal was launched in 2017, over £6.5m has been donated by Georgians all around the world. Their support has been recognised on a donor wall which can be viewed inside the Activity Centre.
