Emma Cross (OG ‘07) - Head Start Lunch
Last Thursday 16th March we welcomed Dr Emma Cross (Old Georgian 2007) back to the College to host a Head Start Lunch on Marine Biology.
Emma attended the lunch so she could talk to the students about each step of her career, from completing her BSc and MSc at the University of Southampton in Marine Biology and Oceanography to undertaking academic research with the British Antarctic Survey right up to finishing her PhD in August 2016.
These lunches benefit the students greatly as it allows them a more formal experience than other careers events, meaning the students can engage in conversation with experts, rather than a more traditional question and answer forum.
St George’s and the Development office really appreciates all involvement from the Georgian Family and please feel free to get in touch with us if you would like to volunteer your time to help with careers.
Finally a special thanks to Emma for giving up her time to help the students shape their future career and study choices.
